After a month in residence at Chrch Project Space in Cottekill, NY the project director, Keiko Sono, and three principal artists (Jenny Lee Fowler, Will Lytle, and Chris Victor) will be hosting a public reception to share emerging work and stories from the Catskill Waters project.
An art project and fundraiser for Catskill Waters, which will help Keiko Sono to collect and produce future podcasts with residents in the NYC drinking watershed. Hosted by Mor Pipman and Eric Hurliman in the beautiful Old Glenford Church and honoring Rebecca Martin, a local activist who was instrumental in raising public awareness about the Niagara Bottling Proposal in Ulster, NY which helped lead to its defeat.
David Waltuck, of Chanterelle (NYC 1979-2009), will be bringing his magic to the plates. In the tradition of Chanterelle a handful of artists-- of which I am one-- have designed menu covers for this special event. Sergei Jivetin is creating art objects that will be part of the serving of the meal.
